Steve Jobs iPad a Disappointment!
1. Steve Jobs is unveiling the Apple iPad, the company’s feverishly anticipated tablet device, in San Francisco at this minute. NEWSWEEK Technology Editor Daniel Lyons is on the scene—and says the audience’s reaction is surprisingly tepid. “I haven’t been this let down since Snooki hooked up with The Situation,” Lyons e-mails.
On to some serious observations. The iPad itself seems less svelte than many fans expected—a blogger at Gizmodo estimates that 20 percent of the surface is bezel. The device’s home screen features weirdly spaced-out icons. While the iPad may not be perfect, neither was the first iPod. Give it another generation or two, and this thing could have as big of an impact as the iPod and iPhone have.
Apple sure knows how to innovate, even if they don’t get things perfect the first time around.

I agree with your comment I am also a apple fan. But I would like to know how apple is going to handle the flash issue? I think that this will be there biggest hurdle.

apple have a good way of ‘ironing out the creases’ in the products. They’ll keep improving it and improving it as time goes on.

I think the iPad was way over hyped, it is cool and I would like one. But as a hard working day to day device that you can;t live without, I don’t think it comes close to the iphone for example..

I like the fact that Apple recently announced that they would guarantee the batteries. That should get rid of a lot of people’s concerns since that has been a problem with the iPhone, etc.
